La protection des enfants et du droit de leurs parents de leur donner une éducation morale tel qu’inscrit dans la Charte québécoise des droits et libertés de la personne (C-12 41. Les parents ou les personnes agissant en leur nom ont le droit d’assurer l’éducation religieuse et morale de leurs enfants conformément à leurs convictions, tout en respectant les droits et intérêts de leurs enfants.)

Quebec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms

C-12 41. Parents or persons acting on their behalf have the right to ensure the religious and moral education of their children in accordance with their convictions, while respecting the rights and interests of their children.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Article 26 of the UDHR sets out the right to education, emphasizing the role of parents in choosing their children's education in accordance with their moral and religious convictions.

Convention on the Rights of the Child

Article 14 of the CRC recognizes the child's right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, as well as the right of parents to guide the child in the exercise of this right.
